Dim Sum
Saturday, October 27, 2007
Tek Jee and I went for dim sum this morning at some high class dim sum restaurant here in Seremban.. Don't play-play ar.. Got aircond wan you know!! Haha!

This place is supposedly, the most famous dim sum shop in the whole Seremban, and on Sundays (as seen with my own eyes), it's sooooo packed, people queue up and take numbers just to get in and be seated!

So back to my story..

Like I was saying, we went for dim sum rite? We were sorta ushered to this one table at some secluded spot by a waitress in uniform. And when I say secluded, I mean others get served before us just because their tables are at better "locations"!

To think... just because of that, I didn't get to eat my siew mai!! They ran out of siew mais when the waitress finally came to our table! How sad is that right? A dim sum shop without siew mai!! *FAINT*

Well anyways, like I mentioned before, it was a really high class place.. So Tek Jee and I started worrying about the prices of food and although we were still really hungry (at that time, we only ordered two types of dim sum), we didn't dare to order more.. Until we saw the price list!

My gosh! The prices were like whoaaa!! Crazy cheap!! And at such a place too!! Prices ranged from RM2.00 to RM3.50! We started ordering like crazy after that.. Totally stuffed! Didn't have to eat lunch anymore!

But service there is kinda bad.. Tek Jee called this one old waitress to fill our empty teapot up.. Yes, she came.. But the way she looked at Jee was like she wanted to scratch him or eat him up or maybe even stuff him into a dungeon full of snakes and let him suffer a painful death! That was the kind of look she gave him!

If looks could kill, that look would've killed him in a second! Jee thanked her when she came back with a filled teapot, trying to score some brownie points with her.. But she still gave him "the look"!

Anyways, to conclude my post.. I'd say I wouldn't mind going there again coz the dim sum is not only cheap, it's airconditioned too! But I'm gonna make sure we don't ask that old waitress lady to add water to our tea the next time around! *SHUDDER*

Pouring of champagne by Edwin and Karen.. Never understood the significance..

Here Comes The Bride (Part I)
Congratulations, Edwin and Karen!! And welcome to the family, "tang sau"!

Here are a few pics taken during the Church Wedding. Wanted to upload pics of the wedding car and the entourage but something's wrong with blogger! Sigh!! Well, maybe I'll edit this post later..

Pretty lil' flowergirls waiting for the bride to arrive..

Here comes the bride~!! Karen, a vision in white!!

My cousins, brother and I at Grace Methodist Church waiting for the bride to enter.. Too bad I wasn't allowed to take pics of her walking down the aisle nor of them exchanging vows.. Sigh.. Btw, the music being played as Karen walked towards the altar wasn't the Wedding march, but Canon in D!

At the end of service, everyone burst out laughing when this particular slide came up on the screen.. Spot the funny! Hehe!

And finally.... Tea serving ceremony back at Edwin's parents' place! Hey, I got my first (and probably last) angpao from my cousin! :D

.... Next stop....

SINGAPORE!!!

Hopefully this wedding cum happy occasion cum family gathering (but Pam's not here!!! *Sob*) will make up for the tears I've shed almost everyday for these past few weeks.

My last trip to Singapore was truly a memorable one! (Though there were occasional banters, hypocrisy, and a lot of tension)..

Hopefully this trip with my family, for my family, will be as memorable as my last trip.. without the bickering and what not's I had to put up with the last time around.

Oh, speaking of trips... Segamat-Muar-Melaka trip has been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. Dissapointing, no doubt.. But things happen for a reason.

Have a great festive season everyone! Enjoy a traffic jam free KL for a few days! And to my Muslim friends...

SELAMAT HARI RAYA, MAAF ZAHIR & BATIN!

Berhati-hati kat jalan raya masa balik kampung dan jangan lupa simpankan kuih raya untuk saya ok?! Hehe!

You Are a Chimera

You are very outgoing and well connected to many people.
Incredibly devoted to your family and friends, you find purpose in nurturing others.
You are rarely alone, and you do best in the company of others.
You are incredibly expressive, and people are sometimes overwhelmed by your strong emotions.

Your Superpower Should Be Manipulating Fire

You are intense, internally driven, and passionate.
Your emotions are unpredictable - and they often get the better of you.
Both radiant and terrifying, people are drawn to you.
At your most powerful, you feel like the world belongs to you.

Why you would be a good superhero: You are obsessive enough to give it your all

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Your moodiness would make it difficult to control your powers

AND.... to prove I'm NOT a brother....

You Inner Gender is Female

You're sensitive, caring, and willing to connect with anyone who's open to you.
You make friends easily, and you enjoy all sorts of conversations.
You understand most people you meet - better than they understand themselves.
You're totally a woman... or at the very least, your soul is female.

Last but not least....

You Don't Have a Boyfriend Because You are Too Picky

You have no problem attracting guys - and even dating a little
It's just around second or third date time where you start to see faults
If a guy isn't near perfect, you're not into him.
It's good to have standards - but yours rule almost everyone out.

Best of Both Worlds??
Friday, October 05, 2007
Jason and I were talking about marriage earlier this evening. Anyways, we said that if both of us are still single by the time we turn 35, we'd tie the knot.. Lols!

Man, can you imagine what our kids would look like if they had:
  • My forehead
  • Jason's face shape
  • His eyebrows
  • My eyes
  • His nose
  • My lips, dimples and chin??
Below is a rough picture of how our boy would look like (thanks to Photoshop!)

Gosh... maybe the boy should have his father's eyes?! LOLS!

And if we should have a girl??

Ah-hah.... Hmm.. I'm having second thoughts about our so-called promise.. LOLS

Happy October!

New month, new conquests and... a new family member!!

My cousin Edwin is getting hitched on the same day Ernest celebrates his 22nd birthday and they fall on the first day of Raya!

Whoa.. confusing.. haha!

Wee~! I can't wait to meet my cousin-in-law to be! It's weird and sudden coz just a few months back, during Chinese New Year, Edwin told us he had a girlfriend but he wasn't intending on tying the knot until a few years later.. And suddenly..

*RIIIINGGGG*

"Hey, Jo.. Did you know Edwin's getting married on the 13th of October??"

I swear I almost got a heart attack!

Obviously, my cousins and I began to speculate.. Hehe! *Cheeky grin* Rufie said she wants to ask Edwin why he couldn't afford a condom despite having earn so much! Wonder if we'll notice a curious bump when we see our cousin-in-law to be... Hopefully I'll be an aunt soon! (Not like I'm not an aunt already.. but hey, this baby will bear the same surname as me! Their offspring will be the first next Yeo generation in our family)

Another cousin of mine is getting hitched on Sunday, the 14th of October. My second cousin, Kah Wei to his long-time girlfriend, Yoke King. He's the cousin I'm staying with in Seremban. Unfortunately, we won't be able to attend their wedding reception coz we won't be back in time. You see, Edwin's wedding is in Singapore!

Oh yeah, speaking of Ernest's 22nd Birthday, I've lots of friends celebrating their birthdays this month. Some of which are Jivanti, May Yeh, Meiyi, Jessica, Kai Shing, Alan and Chuan Zhen! *Sniff* Hello empty pockets!!!

And speaking of Raya, I did mention in one of my earlier post about our plans to go for 4WD adventure? But well, that's not happening. No, it's not because they cancelled the plans due to the fact that I can't go, but because no company allows you to drive the 4WD yourself! So what's the fun in that?? So back to plan A: Segamat - Muar - Melaka.

Hopefully that plan is realised.. *Crosses fingers*

Well, have a good month everyone! And seriously, hope for the uneventful!!

I speak from experience..

Oh crap... I've leg cramps!!!! %^@$#!!!!
