| Awakening |

Being here has surfaced thoughts that I had previously disregarded, brought back memories that I had kept hidden at the back of my mind, and opened my eyes to things that I had once closed them to. I've learned what friendship can truly mean, and how much it weighs in our lives as human beings. I've accepted the fact that I'm but an empty shell, walking aimlessly without a map to guide me through. And more importantly, I've come to realise that I've wasted a few years of my life letting knowledge pass me by like having sand slip through my fingers when I had known that that's the main material to which a house is built.
This is like a rude awakening
I've done many stupid things in life but even if I did feel stupid doing those things, I don't think I've felt as stupid as I do now. Everyday the stress in me builds and as it grows, it weighs me down so much, I feel like sinking into the ground. The ball comes with a chain. Regret, remorse, rue.. Three different words which mean the same thing. Anchored to the very essence of my being, I suffer the consequences of my actions to which I once had waived.
Will this grasp of Lucifer pull me straight to hell? No.. I will not give up without a fight! I may not be able to walk the halls of success with my head held high at this moment, but I believe that time can change anything! Like a bag that can be emptied, it can be filled as well. It will not be an easy task, of this I am aware but I am not afraid to jump the hurdle because I want to roll in the greener grass on the other side of the fence. All it takes is a mountain of perseverence and a sea of strength to paint a vivid picture of the future I'd hold in my hands!
I will survive!!! |
